Hill Steam Rally is held on the Yeovil Showground site, on the
Dorchester Road, just outside of the town. Exhibits are well
laid out and fenced off for all to see, in either 'static' or
'working' mode, plus the usual amount of trade stalls, which
you come expect associated with an event of this type. Car
parking is provided in a field opposite the showground,
completely free, guided in by friendly marshals and stewards,
as you are when leaving the car park to return home. Displays
are constantly ongoing in the small arena in the centre of the
showground, so please be aware of vehicles entering the arena
from both the East and West of it. The
orgainisation of this event is second to none and the event
will celebrate it's 30th anniversary in 2009, and as usual
with any event like this, which is run by volunteers, there is
an appeal for more helpers to join this worthy committee, as
two of the founder members are standing down after each
serving 20 years. |
